Our Team pride ourselves on the excellence, experience and quality of care you receive with us.😊
💯We’ve always worked hard as a Gold-Coast Family-Owned Business to balance our level of skill and service with our fees, so that our care remains accessible to everyone from the Weekend Warrior to active Nan and Pop, through to our Emerging and Elite athletes.
👉We’re writing to let you know about an important change to our Massage Therapy & Saturday Fees from the 1st of November, plus a few other important changes.
Why the change?
Recent changes to the Health Professionals & Support Staff Award, following the Fair Work Commission’s gender-based undervaluation review, have brought a welcomed significant wage increase for Remedial Massage Therapists who hold a Diploma of Remedial Massage.
We fully support this change. It properly recognises the skill and training our Massage Therapists in particular bring to our workplace.
However, like all small business in Australia at the moment, we run a fine line in remaining financially viable. This increase in our wages, together with the rising costs of running a small business, means we need to adjust our massage fees so we can keep offering Massage Therapy at our clinic at the standards we expect of ourselves.
This Award change applies to all formally qualified massage therapists, so similar adjustments are likely across the industry.
We see it as a positive step that recognises the skill involved in being an experienced Massage Therapist- while also raising the standard of Massage Therapists on the Gold Coast overall.
What you can expect from our Massage Team
Our Remedial Massage Therapists are formally qualified and take part in the same professional development program as our Physiotherapists and Strength & Conditioning team. They work closely with your other health professionals, so your care is coordinated and focused on your best possible outcomes.
This makes our team stand out as a Massage Team capable at helping you achieve your goals.
What are the changes?
👉Our new massage fees schedules are below.
👉Because our Massage Therapists are skilled and work specifically at helping you achieve your activity, exercise or sporting goals, you might find they are more regularly recommending a Standard 45min appointment. This appointment will be recommended if your therapist believes they can achieve everything they need to do in this time-frames. Sixty (60min) and thirty (30min) appointments are still available, however Extended Ninety (90min) appointments will no longer be available other than by special request.
👉From 1st November there will be a new Saturday Surcharge rate of $7.50 added on every Massage and Physiotherapy appointment completed on a Saturday (excluding Beactive & Exercise classes). Up to now we have always absorbed the Saturday penalty wage rates for all our team that work this day, however we unfortunately cannot continue to make this financially viable.
👉Massage Packs will still be available for purchase that will now give you 10% discount on Massage appointments. We will honour the current 12% discount on the new fees to anyone who has a current Massage Pack purchased prior to 23.10.26.
👉And lastly, a reminder that each appointment must include some non-contact time for your therapist to complete medicolegal compliance with clinical notes and hygiene.

Thank you for your continued support and custom through this time of change.
We truly value having you as part of our clinic community and we look forwards to continuing to help you.
Yours in great health,
Britt Caling, Albie Firley and the Gold Coast Physio & Sports Health Team
