Developing Physical & Athletic Performance with Strength & Conditioning Classes

Our Strength & Conditioning (S&C) coaches have a passion for developing and nurturing your tween, teen or young adult through a pathway of foundations of physical performance, into an emerging athlete and then onto higher levels of athletic performance.

Because we have worked in elite sport, you can trust us to support the appropriate physical, mental and emotional development of your budding athlete. We meet them where they are at and guide them towards their life & athletic goals!

No gym experience is needed – in fact, it’s about having fun while introducing adolescent athletes to strength training in a safe and supervised environment where they will learn to move better, feel better and perform better!

All classes below are at our Burleigh Clinic.

Who is it for?

Foundation Class

  • For beginners or young athletes aged 11-13yrs old
  • Targeting fundamental foundation body weight movements & correct movement patterns, including some jumping/ landing (great for developing bone strength and health in young kids and developing their tendons into useful springs to help them move with power)
  • Duration: 45min
  • ASCA Coach: Trent Ousby & Jaiden Basalo

The class size is limited to 6.

Emerging Athlete Class

  • For ages 14-17yrs old
  • Targeting building strength, speed & power while continuing to develop good movement (a natural step up from the fundamentals, introducing young athletes to proper strength training and starting to connect it to their sport, all in a way that suits their stage of growth)
  • Duration: 60min
  • ASCA Coach: Jaiden Basalo

The class size is limited to 4

Performance Athlete Class

  • For ages 17+yrs old
  • Targeting more advanced strength & power that carries over to their sport (the next step for athletes ready to train at a higher level, building on everything they’ve developed and fine tuning the qualities that help them perform and compete at their best)
  • Duration: 60min
  • ASCA Coach: Jaiden Basalo

The class size is limited to 3 for absolute individualisation of feedback.

What Else You Need To Know

Further Information

  • Parents can drop & go – or you are welcome to stay and watch – OR, better still, shout yourself a use of our Pilates and Floor exercise equipment and complete a quick exercise session of your own at the same time. As a parent you can buy a monthly, unlimited use of our Gym and Pilates equipment for your independent use. Find Out More
  • We have a shower available for use after the session if your child would like a shower before heading off to school. They are also welcome to use our staff kitchen and fridge to eat breaky before school (since we know how important eating is to performance of our kids!)
  • We regularly write useful education and articles about Young Athletes based on our experience working with athletes in clinic, National Sports Organisations Pathway Programs, Sports Academy Programs like the Gold Coast Suns AFL Academy and our extensive experience working in elite Sport as Preferred Providers.
