Amanda’s Story

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a mum to two wonderful boys, and a proud dog-mum to our cavoodle, Luna. Together, you’ll usually find us outdoors—chasing the sun, splashing in the ocean, or heading off on a new adventure. I’m a creative and curious person, and I love filling my life with things that bring joy—movement, mindfulness, learning new skills, exploring the world, spending time with loved ones, and when I get the chance, playing on film sets for fun!

I was born in a small country town in Victoria and moved to the Gold Coast when I was six. I’ve called the Mudgeeraba hinterland home ever since. Growing up surrounded by nature sparked my love of movement, curiosity, and exploring life fully. I’m happiest when I’m active, learning, and finding new ways to challenge myself.

Helping others live their best lives has been a constant thread throughout my career. From owning and operating an award-winning optical franchise to stepping into the adventure of becoming an internationally recognised Yoga instructor and a Pilates & Barre teacher, I discovered a deep passion for the ways health, movement, and wellness impact our lives. Teaching movement classes, I often met people with injuries and wished I could help them even more—this curiosity and desire to make a difference inspired my journey into Remedial Massage.

I’ve long been inspired by seeing others take control of their health, vitality, and joy—especially the resilience, commitment, and courage I see in both athletes and people recovering from injuries. Recognising this, I knew that I wanted to specialise further, which led me to expand my studies to include Sports Therapies and advanced remedial techniques.

Knowing I wanted to work alongside a team of experts who share these values, where I could make an impact within my passion areas, I researched Physiotherapists who not only help people thrive but also embody the principles I care so deeply about. This is how I found the team at MyGCPhysio. I’m super grateful to be part of a team who are passionate about health, life, and supporting people to feel and be their best.

I can’t wait to meet you and support you on your journey to living the life you want to live.
