This tough course is definitely a bucket list item to tick off, as it is commonly referred to as the toughest team endurance event in Australia: 96km of winding tracks through the Gold Coast hinterland, 5,000m of vertical elevation to climb (and descend!) including 14 checkpoints to get through.

Belt buckles will be awarded to finishers in the 200 mile, 100 mile and 100 kms events and commemorative medallions to finishers in the 25-50-80 kms events
Burleigh Swim Run Australia Day (January Public Holiday) Challenge is a fun community fitness event held in front of the Burleigh Lifeguard Headquarters that is open to everybody from kids as young as 5 years to adults 60yrs+. The morning consists of three events (the Challenge, the Taste Tester & the Young Guns) with all events involving an ocean swim (wade for the young guns) and beach running, with distances that can be achieved by all ages and abilities. All events are individual (solo) based except for ‘The Challenge’ which also offers a teams option (of your choice) as well.
