Rick completed an Exercise Science degree in 1998 and then his Master of Physiotherapy in 2002, both at Griffith University. Upon graduating, Rick worked at Logan Hospital for 2 years before relocating to London where he spent 5 years working in a large London hospital outpatients department, developing skills in the management of a wide range of acute and chronic neuromusculoskeletal conditions.

Rick returned to Australia in 2009 and has been working in a private sports physiotherapy clinic and has been fortunate to work with Gold Coast United Football Club, national level athletics, gymnastic and local football clubs. Rick has a special interest in chronic tendon pathology and has worked closely with a multidisciplinary team specialising in the management of all types of tendon conditions.  Rick completed a Masters of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy program at Griffith University, graduating in 2014.

Rick brings a high level of experience to clients suffering a wide range of musculoskeletal pain and injury, with a special interest in Endurance Sports, Football and any tendon pathologies.

Rick is dedicated to continuing education and has close ties to Griffith University (Gold Coast) where he assists in the undergraduate physiotherapy program and was recently the treating physiotherapist on a large study (RCT) investigating Tennis Elbow.

Rick played representative soccer on the Gold Coast for many years and has represented Queensland in futsal (indoor soccer). These days, Rick can be found spending his spare time swimming, riding and running for his new sport of triathlon.
