Brenton Rickard: World record holder in 100m Breastroke from 2006-2012, two-times Olympic Silver medallist. Selected for London Olympics.

Born 19th October 1983 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He emerged at the international level in 2006, swimming at the Commonwealth games. He has captured multiple Olympic and World Championship medals, as well as World and Commonwealth records. Duriing this period he was coached by Vince Raleigh at the AIS but now resides on the Gold Coast, coached by Glen Baker from Southport Olympic Swim Club.

In 2009, he was Australian Institute of Sport Athlete of the Year.

Leiston Pickett: Commonwealth Gold Medallist, Selected for London Olympics in 100m Breastroke

Born 6th February 1992 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Some of her career highlights included a gold medal in the 50m breaststroke at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. A silver medal in the 50m breaststroke at the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships and Telstra Australian Championships. Her first national title in the 50m breaststroke at the 2011 Australian Championships. Leiston also finished fourth in the 50m breaststroke at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai. Leiston is coached by Glen Baker from Southport Olympic Swim Club.

Mel Schlanger: Olympic Bronze Medallist 2008, currently selected for London Olympics in 100m Freestyle

Born 31st August 1986 in Nambour, Queensland, Australia. Mel was a member of the Australian 4 × 100 m freestyle relay team that won gold at the 2007 World Championships. She now trains on the Gold Coast with Glen Baker at Southport Olympic Swim Club.

Chris Wright: Selected for London Olympics in 100m and 200m Butterfly

Born 7th May 1988 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Some of Chris’s career highlights include: Representing Australia in 200m fly at World Championships in Rome. Winning silver in the 200m butterfly at the 2009 Australian Championships. A gold in 200m fly at 2009 Telstra Australian Short Course in Australian record time. Lastly four silver and one bronze at 2008 Oceania Championships. Chris is currently dating Mel Schlanger and also trains on the Gold Coast with Glen Baker at Southport Olympic Swim Club.

Tom Fraser Holmes: Commonwealth Gold medallist, Selected for London Olympics in 400m Medley and 200m Freestyle

Born 9 October 1991 in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Tom made made his international debut in 2010. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Some of Tom’s career highlights include: a gold medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay and bronze in the 200m freestyle at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Two gold medals in the 200m freestyle and 400m IM at the 2011 Australian Championships. He won the national title in the 400m IM and won a silver medal in the 200m IM at the 2010 Telstra Australian Swimming Championships. Tom currently trains at Miami under leading swim coach Denis Cottrell.
